Below are photographs from the W W Winter Photography Archive, these portraits were all photographed on sliver gelatin glass negatives (dry plates) in the U.S.S.R..

Through this project Debbie Adele Cooper is making new photographs in response to these glass portraits from the Winter archive; learning a lost historic process by hand cutting, coating and developing dry plates and retouching directly on the negative. If you would like to be photographed with this historic process get in touch! Debbie is looking for volunteers to photograph in the W W Winter's original studio; against the same background, using the same type of wooden large format camera.
